Qualifications

Essential

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Desirable

1. Recognised qualification in Librarianship or Information Management
2. Membership of a professional library body (e.g., CILIP, LA Vietnam)

Experience

Essential

1. Previous experience working as a librarian, ideally in a junior or primary school settings
2. Hands-on experience with a library management system
3. Experience teaching library or literacy lessons to young learners (ages 5–11)

Desirable

1. Previous experience working in an international school environment
2. Experience working with children for whom English is not their first language
3. Ability to offer additional skills that supplement a holistic education curriculum (e.g., storytelling, digital literacy, STEAM activities or reading intervention)

Skills & Knowledge

1. Essential: Very good spoken and written English (minimum CEFR C1 or equivalent)
2. Desirable: Previous experience working in a Western educational or cultural environment or with Western curriculum schools
