Job Description

Job Purpose

  1. To work alongside the expatriate classroom teacher to inspire, encourage, and empower pupils to achieve their very best.
  2. The Teaching Assistant will support the delivery of a holistic British-style education, contribute to the teaching of Vietnamese language and culture, and help create a warm, engaging, and high-expectation learning environment.

Job Criteria

Qualifications

Essential

  1. Bachelor’s degree (Education, English, Linguistics or related field)
  2. Qualified Teacher Status in Vietnam (or equivalent local teaching qualification)

Desirable

  1. PGCE, PGDE or international teaching qualification TEFL/CELTA


Experience

Essential

  1. Experience working with children in a classroom setting

Desirable

  1. Previous experience as a teaching assistant or co-teacher in an international school
  2. Experience working alongside expatriate teachers


Language Skills

Essential

  1. Excellent spoken and written English (minimum CEFR B2/C1 or equivalent)
  2. Native or near-native Vietnamese language ability

Desirable

  1. Experience working or studying in a Western/English-speaking environment


Skill

  1. Good organisational and administrative skills
  2. Basic IT proficiency (MS Office, email, online learning)
  3. Ability to lead extra-curricular activities (sports, arts, music, STEM, etc.)

  3. Positive rapport with children
